Finding shoes for wide feet
I have always had wide feet. It runs in the family. I remember as a child that my mom had to take my sister and I to specialty stores to get shoes that fit us properly. And for my working class family, these were not cheap!
In addition to the expense, there were few, if any stylish options. I remember walking into a store, eyeing pair after pair of beautiful shoes, only to find that they were not in my size.
And frankly, unless I wanted to wear shoes that hurt my feet, the same scenario has played out for most of my life.
BUT, in the last 10 or so years, shoe manufacturers have figured out that everyone is not a 7M and have started manufacturing some lovely options in extended sizes.
Here are some of my favorite fall booties that come in wide sizes.
